Hand painted picture of a harbour

ART4U is an art class organised and run by Elizabeth Osbourne. It operates twice in each month.

Classes are held twice a month, on the second and last Mondays of the month from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and all materials and tuition are provided free of charge.

Classes are back running.

ART4U is a friendly informal art group whose members enjoy the pleasure of creating pictures invarious mediums. We decided that meeting twice a month fitted our time schedules.

Classes are held at the Sandyford halls:

13 Kelvinhaugh St, Glasgow,

We started on Zoom, as ZoomArt, during lockdown with pen sketches and progressed on to pastels and acrylics. In Autumn 2022 we started meeting in the church hall.  The name had to change so ART4U was born.

The group is made up of folk who have varying experiences in art. At the moment we are painting using watercolours and this is a new adventure for most of the group. It is a time to relax and enjoy creating. There is no such thing as ‘bad’ art.

We would like to share our group with others in the community so that more people can enjoy painting and have social interaction with likeminded artists. All are welcome though we restrict it to adults only.

Tuition is given by Elizabeth, who has been painting for over fifty years in various mediums including watercolour, pastels, oils, acrylics, gouache, and pen and ink. She hopes that her lessons are fun to do as well as informative.
